Rotary in Action: A Few Hours of Service. Nearly 800 Bags of Food. A Big Difference for Families.

Nearly 800 bags of food were packaged for distribution to local families when members of the Rotary Club of Robbinsville Hamilton, joined by family and friends, spent the morning volunteering at the Mercer Street Friends Food Bank.

In just a few hours, volunteers helped prepare food that will support neighbors facing food insecurity throughout the area.

For this Rotary club, the activity is more than a one-time service project. It is part of a monthly commitment to show up, work together, and respond to a real need in the community.

And this is what Rotary looks like.

Across New Jersey and around the world, Rotarians give their time, skills, connections, and resources to address challenges including hunger, education, youth development, veterans’ needs, health, clean water, disaster response, and much more.

You do not have to have unlimited time to make a difference.

Sometimes, it starts with giving a few hours on a Saturday morning.

For the volunteers, it is time spent serving together. For the families who receive those bags, it can mean food on the table and one less worry that week.

That is Service Above Self in action.

Your community needs people who are willing to show up. Rotary gives you a place to start.
