Embark on an unforgettable journey with Rotarians Peter Teahen and Ed Galkin as they share their adventure in their Flight to End Polio. From August 30 to October 5, 2025, these remarkable pilots made history by flying a single-engine plane 8,000 miles across the Atlantic, visiting 11 countries, and connecting with Rotary organizations worldwide. At age 89, one pilot set a world record as the oldest person to complete such a flight, all while raising nearly one million dollars to support Rotary’s mission to eradicate polio—a cause championed and matched by the Gates Foundation.
